I'm sorry if my email confused you. I didn't mean that ILUG should
subscribe to another mailinglist, which belongs to Defective By Design.
By subscribing to www.defectivebydesign.org, the email ID
mailinglist at ilug-cochin.org will be placed in their database. So we
will receive the emails only from the organization "Defective By
Design". They will keep the email ID confidential. I have subscribed to
www.defectivebydesign.org since 1 year and 6 months. But I didn't get a
single email from Defective By Design that is off topic, as you said.
Defective By Design use to send an email when they find a DRM. That
means, we will get one or two emails within 3 months.

That's not true. The mailing list and the activities are far better now.
