When subscribing to the mailinglist, you could have create a new email
ID specifically for ILUG and then subscribe to that email ID. By doing
this way, you don't have to disclose your Personal(Primary) or Official
email ID to anybody, but you still receive emails from ILUG. It won't
bother you also.

If you subscribe to your Personal email ID (Primary email ID) or
Official email ID then you will be in trouble after some time. You may
get spams even after you unsubscribe from the mailing list. I mean,
there are chances that somebody will misuse your email ID.
