Hi,
I am Hrishikesh Murali, a new member to the mailing list. I have a laptop with the VIA Chrome 9 HC IGP CN896/VN896/P4M900 as my video card (on-board) and my OS is Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope i386.
I am not able to find a suitable linux driver for it, I am temporarily using vesa driver. I tried downloading the driver from the sites
1. http://www.via.com.tw/en/support/drivers.jsp
2. http://linux.via.com.tw/support/downloadFiles.action
After download, it says that the downloaded .tgz file is not in a valid gzip format in both the sites.
I also tried looking up on OpenChrome, but it claims it does not support OpenGL.
Does anyone have the linux driver which supports 3D acceleration with OpenGL support for this video card (or atleast the link from which they downloaded it)? I have been searching for sometime, and I'm not successful.

Hrishikesh Murali
