Hello Sreenadh,

I am currently having the same problem. I could run youtube video with
audio. During boot up, the system has sound. But I cannot play resident
music in hard disk using amarok or vlc. This started a few days before after
my routine updates. I am using Arch Linux and KDEmod. My laptop is HP compaq
nx6125 in x86_64 architecture running 64 bit version.

I have posted queries

nothing works.
Can you guide me to rectify it?
