[ILUG-Cochin.org] how to convert kerala to a Free software State?

Dear friends,

My friend is running a cyber cafe. He is busy with formatting and
re-installing windows and other softwares on every pc in a weekly basis, due
to viruses. I told him to convert all machines to ubuntu. But his reply was
disappointing. He told if he switches to linux, he will loss his clients
bcause no one knows to use it. Some sites are having compatibility problems
also. Voice and video chatting is also a big headache. People use to carry
files in their pen drives which are all windows format. These may not open
or viewing in a different style in linux. That also makes problem. And he
asks when something like a software installation is needed, he will need
assistance. So he tells he will lose his freedom.

If all people hesitate for a change, what can we do ?
