[ILUG-Cochin.org] arecordmidi and webster word commands

Dear all......I tried arecordmidi as user in Debian (etch), but it didn't
work. What may be the reason ? The error dispalyed is given below...
sanal at debian:~$ arecordmidi san
ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such
file or directory
Cannot open sequencer - No such file or directory
sanal at debian:~$
Also tried webster word and that also didn't work................what may be
the reason?.....Thanks in advance
