We start of with our regular discussion on Free Software and related topics.
This is important for new users.



Technical Presentation 1: " Geo Visualization and Resource planning with 
Swathanthra Software " by Jaisen

Geographical Information Systems is a field that has been least explored
in spite of it being very challenging and providing lot of opportunities.

Geo Visualization using Swathanthra Software is a little known fact to 
many. In fact
the importance of Free Software in this field has been underestimated.

At the meeting we will see an introduction to the concept of 
GeoVisualization and the field
of GIS at a very simple level. We then take a look at its importance in 
our present society.

The emphasis would be laid on why Swathanthra Software is important for 
this purpose
and how it has been utilized in the best possible manner.
