[ILUG-Cochin.org] Install Debian Etch in Intel DG33FB Classic Motherboard

Hello all,

When I tried to install Debian GNU/Linux EtchnHalf on Intel DG33FB
Classic Series Motherboard
it didn't detect the DVD drive. To overcome this pass the kernel parameter
"generic.all_generic_ide=1" (Press F6 at boot prompt for various
kernel parameters)

So at the Debian install disk prompt type

installgui generic.all_generic_ide=1
