Hello All,

One problem faced by many people, is the lack of professional quality
printing facilities available
which function entirely or partially on free software. It becomes
difficult and sad to see that all
our publicity has to be done using proprietary software (printing process).

Is anyone aware of any facilities like "Flex printing" or "A3/A2
printing" or "Photo quality printing"
commercial facilities that use free software anywhere in India. Sreenadh
had inquired at two places in kochi,
if we could use our laptops running on free software or live cds on
their PCs to print our posters, but
they were afraid their "costly" equipment would get damaged.

One reason is lack of awareness, the second would be the lack of demand,
so atleast if some of us
strategically plan a programme to send in random inquiries for printing
in free software the popular
printing shops would understand the importance.

Btw this has been one major bottleneck for the preparations for our
stall at NFM 2008.

Thank You

Regards
Sameer Mohamed Thahir
