For VOIP chat with gtalk facility ,I use Empathy chat client.you can add
below repo to your debian:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/telepathy/ubuntu intrepid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/telepathy/ubuntu intrepid main
